Job Description
  • The Lead .NET Developer is an integral member of the software engineering team and initially will primarily be responsible for coding within our software development group.
  • The .NET Developer is responsible for the configuration, development, maintenance, and debugging of MS Windows based applications for both Intranet and Internet environments using Microsoft .Net 2.0/3.0 technologies.
  • All development is based on the .NET framework 2.0 / 3.5 and utilizes the Microsoft SQL Server 2005 backend.
  • Development is performed using SOA architecture.
  • TDD (Test Driven Development), XP, and Agile methodology is followed.
  • The software development life cycle utilizes iterative and incremental development techniques in a small team environment. We use a continuous integration and build approach with emphasis on automated unit testing and a test driven development style.
  • The overall approach is a mix of formal, process driven software engineering techniques integrated with Agile development methods.
Position Requirements
  • Good oral and written communication skills is a must as you will be working with US based analysts, testers, and engineers.
  • 5 - 7 years of strong development experience with atleast 2+ yrs exp as project manager.
  • Visual Studio 2005, .NET Framework 2.0 required, .NET Framework 3.5 preferable.
  • Experience with TDD, XP, and Agile is highly preferred.
  • Object Oriented programming in VB.Net and C#.Net a must.
  • Knowledge of Web Services, Window Services, and .Net remoting a must.
  • SQL Server 2005 experience in crafting and debugging SQL objects including stored procedures, triggers, SQL functions and .Net SQL assemblies a must
  • Understanding of SQL 2005 try/catch constructs.
  • Understanding of SQL 2005 Common Table Expressions.
  • Extensive experience using SQL Profiler in developing SQL for the development of client/server applications and using the tuning advisor for performance analysis.
  • Understanding of .Net memory methodology a must.
  • Understanding of .Net asynchronous processing, including uses of delegates a must.
  • Understanding of .Net reflection a must.
  • Excellent skills in searching for the optimal .Net framework classes a must.
  • MS Team Foundation Server (TFS) technologies a plus.
  • Experience in Borland's StarTeam a plus.
  • Knowledge of bug tracking and feature enhancements tracking methodologies expected (for example via Borland's StarTeam CR or MS TFS tasks)
  • Experience in 3rd party off-the-shelf components (such as DevExpress) a plus.
  • Understanding of UML constructs (such as Class Diagrams, State Diagrams, or Object Diagrams) a plus.
  • Knowledge and experience in unit testing, such as MS Unit tests, NUnit, NUnit.ASP expected.
  • Ability to work in a peer review/ code review environment expected.
  • Problem solving and debugging skills a must.
